Amaryllis of Serilion, a shy and quiet princess is heading to Arlon—the largest kingdom in Europe—for the final party, the Choosing Ceremony, where she will be selected by a prince to join in marriage. As tradition, she will return to the kingdom from which her prince descends, and become queen in his land. It is a huge event which had been occurring for several generations. The tradition had always been successful in bringing kingdoms together, and creating happy marriages. Except, this event is tragically ruined when Amaryllis breaks the tradition, running deep into the most dangerous area known to man, the dark forest. Within the dark forest—haunted by horrifying creatures—she accidentally awakens an odious demon which had been contained for two thousand years. The malevolent demon unleashes its build up of rage onto the land, possessing the earth’s purity with evil. Amaryllis is filled with an unbearable guilt, which drives her to fi x what she had done. She informs the royal subjects of the dreadful accident, then takes off on a daunting journey full of magic, horror, and danger where she hopes to kill the demon, and restore the earth to what it once was.
